Punch to Kill gets a collection!
My collaborative combative comic book series Punch to Kill is going graphic! The three issue collection will be available soon.
I've been so busy since the BUFO (Burien UFO Fest) with a freelance album cover job for the project called Peopling. I'll be able to show some of that soon.
I tabled at the LA based comix show called Permanent Damage PDX that was held in a failing mall in Portland. It was the best! Keenan Marshall Keller is the organizer and with Floating World Comics' help, they brought the show to the Llyod Center shopping mall. It was a Freak Scene for sure! Artists like Lale Westvind, Skinner, Tom Neely, Max Clotfelter and many more were tabling and collectively got weird. A great crowd came through! I met and talked with a bunch of customers also, got to talk to old timers like JR Williams and Mario Hernandez of the Los Hernadez Bros.
This show was inspiring and really kicked me in the ass to get the Punch to Kill collection put together. I'm tabling with fellow weirdo cartoonist and publisher of Last Boss Comics, Neil Devlin at the Rose City Comic Con in September. Again in Portland Oregon on September 22nd through the 24th. I haven't tabled at a multi-day comic fest this size in a while!! I trust that it'll be successful and with a book like this I should make some new fans.
Since the original Punch to Kill issue 1 is practically out of print, I'm going to be offering a PDF of the whole issue on my Patreon the paying folks to download. Anyone else can also purchase a copy for download. I'll have subsequent issues available in the future along with other comics.
Thank y'all for the support! It really helps me fund the printing of these comics that I've ultimately spent my whole life and much of my energy thinking about and creating.
Take care
Marc
